This event is now full

This free event for Year 7 aims will offer students the opportunity to explore what it means to work as mathematicians. The day will consist of highly interactive problem-solving workshops led by the NRICH team.

All sessions are highly interactive and held in the Faculty of Mathematics' lecture theatres and teaching rooms.

Schools are welcome to bring up to a maximum of 8 students, subject to availability of places, plus accompanying teachers.

This event is open to school groups from state-maintained schools/academies only, and places must be pre-booked.

Important information: please read before booking

  • This registration form is for school groups only. All groups must be accompanied by at least one supervising teacher. We would encourage the accompanying teacher to be a member of the school Maths department.

  • Teachers: please note that all bookings must be submitted by the school/college. Please do not ask students to register individually.

  • Please note that lunch is not provided.

  • Cancellation policy: The day is free to attend. However, places are limited, and because of the highly interactive nature of the day, late changes to numbers cause significant disruption to the event. If bookings are cancelled after 5pm on 29 May 2020, or schools do not attend on the day, we will therefore charge at our discretion a cancellation fee of £20 per cancelled student place.

  • The talks and workshops may be filmed or photographed. Photographs and films may be published, transmitted or broadcast in official University of Cambridge publications and in University publicity materials, including University and University-affiliated websites and may be circulated to the press and other broadcast media and Internet websites for publication, transmission or broadcast. If this is problematic please contact us in advance.
